Thomas J. Hobart

Thomas Jefferson Hobart (son of Dudley Bradstreet Hobart and Sophia Dearborn, grandson of General Dearborn) was born in Bath, Maine. In 1825 he settled at Township G, Range 2 in what is now Presque Isle, Aroostook County, Maine. He had requested 160 acres but was had improved 30 acres by the time of a survey of settlers undertaken in 1838. [source]

Thomas J Hobart married Drucilla Zelinda Fairbanks (daughter of Dennis Fairbanks). Children were:

Thomas moved to Rockford Illinois sometime between the 1850 census and 1854.   TJ Hobart was a Major in the GAR and on the field staff of the 44th Illinois Infantry. He did recruitment in the Rockford, Illinois area and one of his first recruits Andrew Reed Bulkley, who later married TJ's daughter Ann Maria Hobart.

Drusilla and Thomas are buried in a little cemetery in Rockford, IL. called Guilford Turner Cemetery.
