This information is from their descendant Wil Côté:
"For your information, I have a photocopy of information
from the family bible of Norman and Matilda (Wiles) Campbell.
These are probably the only extant records of the family of Norman
and Matilda.
Included are the following items:
Norman Campbell and Matilda were married on 4 Dec 1852 "at
Joseph Wiles". Joseph was the husband of Rebecca Ward (and
possibly the father of Matilda?). Joseph and Rebecca's son Joseph
is living very near to Norman and Matilda in the 1860 US census,
in Twp.18, Range 7 (p.477).
Two separate birth records for Matilda are given: 26 March
1833 and 26 March 1832.
Norman's birth date is given as 1 February 1827, but the
7 appears to be written over a 6. I cannot confirm this unless
I see the original, now owned by a third cousin!
I have worked to prove the parentage of Norman, and while
the final desired proof still eludes me, he is almost certainly
the only son of Rufus and Susan (Jackman) Campbell of Monmouth,
Litchfield, and Chelsea, in Kennebec County, Maine.
If you know anything more about these families please contact Wil by
Norman and Matilda, as well as Matilda's brother Joseph Wiles,
appear in the 1860 US census in Township
18, Range 7, p.477 on lines 8-9 and 1.
Joseph Wiles (husband of Rebecca Ward, father of Matilda and
Joseph) appears in the following documents:
