In the course of trying to track down information on my great-great-great grandfather Samuel Russell, I've done research on communities in the Gaspé peninsula, focusing in particular on communities in the southern and eastern parts of the peninsula, in what are today the counties of Bonaventure, Avignon, Pabok, and La-Côte-de-Gaspé. Given that some of the people who settled in the Upper St.John River valley came from the Gaspé, I decided to include some of these documents on this site.

Au cours de recherche de l'information sur mon ancêtre Samuel Russell, j'ai cherché quelques communautés au Gaspé, surtout les communautés au sud et à l'est de la péninsule, au comtés actuels de Bonaventure, Avignon, Pabok, and La-Côte-de-Gaspé. En raison du fait que quelques immigrants à la vallée supérieure de la St.Jean sont venus de Gaspé, j'inclus ces documents ici.

Une liste des personnes arrêtées et emprisonnées en la prison de New Carlisle; inclut lieu de residence, métier, crime et dates d'arrestation et de relaxe.
