Cotes and Cyrs

My heritage follows two predominant family names to northern Maine, Cyr and Cote.
Pierre Sire (Cyr) from Tourraine France who arrived in Acadia Port Royal in 1668 and Jean Coste (Cote) from Mortagne, Perche, France in 1634. There were several family members on both sides that emigrated at that time and eventually settled in Quebec and on to the Madawaska settlement.
